El tiempo vuela rápido cuando estás con tu perro. Un día es un bultito que te cabe en el regazo, y al siguiente es una enorme bola de pelo.

Los tuiteros han compartido fotos adorables de sus perros antes y después, mostrando la increíble diferencia en unos pocos meses de crecimiento. El primero fue @_ThatGuyFuller, que publicó una foto de su goldendoodle cuando tenía 2 meses y luego a los 7 meses, y el hilo comenzó a llenarse de más fotos.

Tras 2,1 millones de likes y casi 300.000 retuits, está claro lo orgullosos que estamos de ver a nuestros peludos crecer. Ahora entendemos lo orgullosos que están los padres en las graduaciones de sus hijos.

Ves a tu perrito tan pequeño y regordete y a los dos días es un perrazo. Las fotos no mienten y no está en tu cabeza: los caninos crecen rápido, pero cada perro va a su ritmo.

Oficialmente, los perros son adultos al cumplir 1 año, pero en realidad sus huesos siguen desarrollándose hasta los 24 meses. Las razas pequeñas crecen más deprisa que las grandes, y pueden dejar de crecer a los 8 meses. Los grandes aumentarán de tamaño hasta los 18 meses.

Es importante tomar nota del desarrollo de tu perro, y una de las indicaciones es el tamaño de su pata, que debería ser proporcional con el resto del cuerpo.

La piel suelta también indica su futuro tamaño. Si el cachorro la tiene muy suelta, significaría que llegaría a ser grande.

Lo más importante es cuidar su dieta y asegurarse de que recibe la nutrición adecuada para convertirse en un perro sano y sociable. Y tampoco alimentarlos en exceso.

Aparte de la madurez física, el perro tiene que alcanzar la madurez social, y esto se consigue con entrenamiento y socialización.
